With constantly increasing fuel prices, efficient compact models arouse interest in the U.S..

Road Show in New York, Hyundai shows a modification of American popular worldwide Accent.

Sales of this model will launch in America this summer. Model of the 2012 Accent will be offered as a five-door hatchback or a sedan with four.

The company advertised the car as a model having the lowest fuel consumption in its class in the U.S. market.

The average cost is determined by the manufacturer to 7.8 liters per 100 km city and 5.9 liters per 100 km outside the city.

In comparison with competitors from Honda Fit in the city average cost is 8.7 liters per 100 kilometers out of town and 7.1 liters per 100 km in average fuel Ford Fiesta is 8.4/6.4 liters per 100 km in Toyota Yaris e 8.1/6.5 liters per 100 km in the Nissan Versa e 9.0/6.9 liters per 100 km.

The design is in the newest style of Hyundai, called "Fluidic Sculpture" and makes the car very attractive. The new Accent will be presented and new petrol engine with aluminum block 1.6 Gamma with a system of direct fuel injection.

Its power is 138 hp and maximum torque is 167 Nm. The engine will be combined with manual transmission or 6 degrees or machine also with 6 speeds.

The new Accent offers more space for passengers, because the car has bigger dimensions than the previous model. The distance between the axles is increased by 71 mm and 2570 mm reach.

Width was also increased slightly (5 mm) and reaches 1700 mm. The length of the saloon modification has increased by 89 mm and 4369 mm reach.

The price of the new Accent sedan starts at GLS version of 12,445 dollars, and in five-door hatchback GS starts at 14,595 dollars.
